Roof Bolt　R／RSV／R-S／R-B／RSV-B／R-BS

  • Tighten firmly from top to bottom, no looseness.
  • Can be installed from one side.
  • Work safely without scaffolding.
  • Watertightness is improved by tightening from above and below, and Roof Bolts with hanging insert for light gauge steel are also available (R-B type, RSV-B type, R-BS type).
  • Made of stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance (R-S type, R-BS type).
  • Stainless steel has a special anti-seizure treatment.
  • Corrosion protection coating products are resistant to salt and pollution corrosion (RSV type, RSV-B type).
  • Highly corrosion resistant hot-dip galvanized steel sheet ZAM® is used for the washer (R type, R-B type).

❶Drill a hole with Roof High Bit
Bit is used for rotation mode.
Please do not use it for vibration or hammering mode.
❷Set the Roof Bolt
Make sure the nut is tight when you set it
❸Tighten the Roof Bolt with Roof Driver
【Guideline for completing tightening】
The slide bit comes off and the hammering sound becomes smaller.
❹Installation complete
Tighten until the roof bolt socket idles, then the installation is complete.
Guideline dimensions for completing installation.
・The bolt protrusion measurement of 25mm~28mm is the approximate completion measurement for installation.
・It is also possible to check for insufficient tightening by placing the tip of the roof bolt socket against the top of the nut as shown in the diagram.

●Be sure to drill a pilot hole with Roof High Bit.
●Please use the size listed in the catalog for the compatible bit stopper when installing with a Roof Driver.
●Drill the pilot hole with specified diameter.

Roof Bolt

・Please use 18V, 36V, or 40V for the impact driver.
 

Please use the Roof Driver specified by Sanko Techno.

The designated Roof Driver has a stopper and attachments which are designed according to the Roof Bolt, this allows the Roof Driver to manage the installation stroke (RD-8-WH36 / RD-6-WH36) and can fasten the Roof Bolt with appropriate strength.

If the user installs Roof Bolts with an installation tool not specified by Sanko Techno (for example, a “Roof bolt tightening holder”) or manufactured by another company, the installation torque management function is not equipped and it might not match the design of Roof Bolt, etc.

Do not use a non-designated installation tool as it can cause the following issues:
●Insufficient tightening may result to insufficient expansion of the sleeves installed on the base material [back side], which may cause a water leak accident.
●Overtightening may damage the base metal or Roof Bolt.
※Sanko Techno will not be responsible for any accidents or installation defects that occur when installation is performed with a non-designated installation tool.
